EL GOBIERNO NACIONAL ORGANIZARÁ UN FORO INTERNACIONAL PARA ATRAER INVERSORES

Será entre el 12 y el 14 de setiembre en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires

El Gobierno Nacional organizará en setiembre próximo el Argentina Business & Investment Forum, un evento que permitirá mostrar la apertura al mundo y el progreso de las reformas económicas que se están realizando en el país, con el propósito de atraer inversiones para alcanzar un desarrollo sustentable y crear más empleo.

El foro surge como una oportunidad para presentar las estrategias de desarrollo de los sectores económicos clave de la Argentina y las oportunidades para inversores locales, regionales y globales. “La Argentina ha decidido a ocupar su lugar relevante en el escenario internacional. Necesitamos empresas líderes que inviertan en nuestros sectores de alto potencial como energía, agroindustria, tecnología y comunicaciones, como también financiar y construir rutas y puertos”, puntualizó el Presidente Mauricio Macri.

El Jefe de Estado afirmó que, por su potencial, “Argentina representa hoy una de las oportunidades de inversión más atractivas del mundo y lo será por la próxima década”.

El foro se realizará entre el 12 y el 14 de setiembre de 2016 en la Capital Federal y será un escenario para que la Argentina muestre su apertura al mundo, se convierta en destino de los inversores y sea un lugar propicio para la realización de negocios que ayuden al desarrollo económico del país y la generación de empleo.

Será una plataforma para promover debates, presentaciones y reuniones de primer nivel entre empresarios locales y funcionarios de gobierno con firmas e inversores internacionales, con el objetivo de estimular la inversión en el país y lograr asociaciones público-privadas.

Además, el Forum contará con un día adicional dedicado a la innovación y emprendedorismo, dos de las ramas del desarrollo que alienta el Gobierno para el Siglo XXI , por realizarse el 15 de septiembre.

La Agencia Argentina de Inversiones y Comercio Internacional, creada en febrero, tendrá a su cargo la organización de Argentina Business & Investment Forum.

El titular de la Agencia, Juan Procaccini, señaló que el Gobierno “tiene objetivos ambiciosos de inversiones en diversos sectores estratégicos e infraestructura y dado el gran interés que están demostrando compañías e inversores globales por la Argentina hemos decidido la organización de este evento”.

“El Forum será una oportunidad ideal para que las principales compañías e inversores vean por sí mismos las enormes oportunidades que ofrece nuestro país y para integrar a la Argentina a la economía mundial”, añadió.

Buenos Aires, Argentina. From September 12-15, Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires will host over 1500 global businessmen, investors and political leaders for the first ARGENTINA BUSINESS & INVESTMENT FORUM.

“Argentina is back on the global investment map, offering some of the most exciting investment opportunities for the coming decade,” declared Argentine President Mauricio Macri.

“It is important for Argentina that we re-establish a strong and mutually-beneficial relationship with the international business community,” he added. “Attracting foreign direct investment this year will be a catalyst to economic growth and to creating jobs and opportunities for the people of Argentina.”

Organized by the Argentina Investment & Trade Promotion Agency, the Forum will consist of plenary sessions, thematic conferences, bilateral meetings and networking opportunities that will give participants the chance to interact with senior government officials, state governors and local business leaders to explore new investment opportunities underpinned for strategic growth in every sector of the economy.

“We are looking for international investors to review first-hand the investment opportunities that our country presents across almost all industrial and service sectors, such as conventional and renewable energy, agribusiness, technology and infrastructure,” declared Juan Procaccini, President of the Argentina Investment & Trade Promotion Agency. “The Agencywill prioritize investments that promote inclusive growth in the different regions of our country.”

Procaccini revealed that, since the assumption of President Macri in December 2015, foreign companies have already announced investments of over US$ 16bn, three times as many as in the same period last year.

Key to attracting these investments are the ongoing macroeconomic and institutional reforms that will underpin national growth and stability in the coming years. “Other measures in the agenda, such as the new legal framework for public-private partnerships, will facilitate investment in key areas such as infrastructure,” stated Procaccini.

President Macri added that the Forum will show the global business community that “in Argentina they can count on the best tools, the best supplies and raw materials, the best energy potential, and above all else, the enormous talent of our people."
